Talented choreographers are looked at for some of the best B-town dances and they awarded for their incredible contribution in the film Industry too. Apart from that some of the choreographers are also trendsetter and gurus, they have their dance academy where various dance forms are taught and promoted.
Sandip Soparrkar is one choreographer who is known world over for is love for dance and the authenticity he keeps while teaching dance to his students. He is one dance guru who has kept the classic and traditional western dances alive in today's modern world where new dance forms evolve every other day.
Saluting Sandip Soparrkar for is immense talent he was recently conferred with ‘Jewel of Maharashtra” award by the first family of Bollywood. Dadasaheb Phalke’s grandson Shri Chandrashekar Phalke awarded his with this honour. World’s largest and top most alumni of hospitality MSIHMCT organised this grand event where the award was handed over to the dance maestro
Mr Phalke said, " I am glad that MSIHMCT has given this year’s "Jewel of Maharashta" award to Sandip, he is one choreographer who is not only a great dancer but also a purist in his form, I have known him to be always Indian at heart but truly Global in spirit, he had taken Bollywood to international shores and we are thankful to him for his contribution in expanding Bollywood."
It seems after being in the industry for over 14 years, awards are now pouring in for Sandip Soparrkar. Last year he was conferred with the 22nd National Achievement Award and this year too has begun on a high note. While receiving the award Sandip Soparrkar said, “I feel humbled to receive this honour from the first family of Bollywood and I am thankful to all who have always supported me and my art."
